Aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN) is one of the most abrasive resistant and hardest coatings. Zirconium nitride (ZrN) is similar to TiN, but has a higher oxidation temperature. It is used on nonferrous materials including aluminum, brass, copper and titanium.
